Cover Reveal – Afternoon Delight!

I am delighted to reveal the cover for the reissue of Afternoon Delight, releasing with Pownal Street Press in October of this year.
Are you wondering how this came about? Well, wild stuff happens when you follow your intuition.
Last year, before I gave up social media, wine, and potato chips, I was sitting on the deck indulging in all three. I saw a post on Threads for the Romance, Eh? book signing in Edmonton.
I hadn’t done a book signing in years, but one of my goals was to do more in-person events so I could network with other authors, build my indie career, and get more involved in the Canadian romance scene. I filled out the interest form and, a few weeks later, the organizers kindly invited me to attend.
If you know anything about hand-selling books, my chances of breaking even plummeted considerably once I factored in three nights in a hotel, but the event was worth every penny. I made some new friends, sold way more books than I expected, and met the lovely Genevieve Loughlin, founder and publisher of Pownal Street Press, a Canadian publisher in PEI.
She told me they were launching a romance imprint and inviting submissions. She kindly bought a copy of Afternoon Delight and I promised to send her a proposal for something else.
In January, Pownal Street Press acquired Afternoon Delight and will reissue it this October!
